Girls Varsity Basketball Ends Bullis Tourney Strong

It's unbelievably difficult to play three games in less than 72 hours, and that task becomes even more laborious when there are only eight healthy bodies competing!
In what turned out to be our most selfless game of the weekend, the Maroon showcased a toughness and cohesion that we have not seen so far this year. EHS started the game with Washington Latin with a 12-0 run and left little doubt in the minds of spectators which team would dominate the contest.

At the helm of the offense was Goree, who dumbfounded WL with a career high 29 points. Episcopal's impressive scoring seemed to come from everywhere on Sunday afternoon: a Dymin Gerow layup on the right side, an Emma Jones jumper on the left... and behind every scored basket, there was an encouraging teammate who delivered a pristine pass to make it happen.

By night's end, the Maroon found themselves on the winning end of a lopsided 69-30 victory. It's no wonder the the team recorded its highest point total against the Lady Lions; they dished out more assists in this game than any other in the last three years. It was a truly fitting conclusion to the Great Eight's time together!
