Maroon Defeats Saints
The Maroon played a great game on Thursday, defeating No. 1 VISAA ranked SSSAS by a score of 14-12. Episcopal dominated play for the first 40 minutes as a complete effort on all sides of the field led to a 14-5 lead. The Saints battled back in the fourth quarter to make it a 14-12 final.
Victor Salcedo '22 had a fantastic day chipping in two points, winning 17/24 faceoffs and scooping up 11 ground balls. James Greene' 21, Andrew Caslow '21, Bear White '21, Willem Albert '22 and Nate Kabiri '23 led the offense with at least two points each. Caulley Deringer '23 made his season debut and provided a spark to the offense. Thomas Gibert '21 had 10 saves and the defense led by Lawson Laverty '21, Andrew Lehman '22, Zack Ough '22, Graham Riddle '22 and Alec Riddle '22 helped EHS jump out to a big lead. Jake Crowley '21 added four key faceoff wins.
