Girls' track team places fourth

The boys and girls track and field squads competed in their respective league “B” Championships last week, with plenty of young talent showcasing their talents and hard work this season.
The girls competed on their home track on Monday May 6 against some of the league’s top members.   Leading the way for the Maroon was rookie Throwers Ta’Miyah Alexander ‘22 who had the highest finish for the Maroon, throwing a new personal record and Runner Up finish.   The girls 4 x 100m relay team of Helen Ingle ‘21, Helen Goodyear ‘22, Camilla Hipp ‘21 and Gabby Notzon ‘22 sprinted their way to 4th place finish.

Ingle and Hipp both came back and ran personal records in the 200-meter event, followed by remarkable races by the distance squad.  Millie Pettegrew ‘20 ran her best race of the season and a great way to end the season followed by personal record runs from Lindsey Veatch ‘20 and Lily Arasaratnam ‘21.
