Maroon victorious over Paul VI
The No. 4 VISAA-ranked boys' varsity lacrosse team beat No. 3-ranked Paul VI on Tuesday night by a final score of 15-12.
The Maroon started off quickly in the first half as the attack unit of Will Cory '19, Finlay MacKnight '20, and Jackson Eicher '20 combined for 9 goals and 6 assists in the opening two periods. John McKee '20 and Chad Calderwood '20 won 19 out of 30 face-offs on the evening to help the Maroon control the possession game. Luke Mascatello '19 made 13 saves against a very strong shooting team and the defense of Coleman Marlatt '19, Christian Storch '20, Ben Lee '20, Bear Matheson '20, Tyler Bryan '19, and Jack Kelly '19 kept PVI in check in settled situations. Six midfielders—Jack Lee '20, Jared Andreala '20, Thomas Williamson '19, Bear White '21, Tyler Conklin '21, and James Greene '21—each had at least one point as the group combined for five goals and three assists.
