Nate Ebel

Biography:
Nate has been at EHS for fourteen years, after arriving in 2009 from Woodberry Forest, where he taught for six years. In his time at Episcopal, he has taught all levels of English; coached football, basketball, and track; lived on dorm as a Dorm Head on Dalrymple and Hoxton Dorms; and served as Academic Dean for five years.

Nate currently serves as the Assistant Head for Academics and teaches one upper-level English course each semester– “Individualism in American Literature” and “Whitman, Dickinson, and the American Voice.” Nate has taught in the boarding school environment for the past nineteen years and loves the education that it provides, where the constant interaction between faculty and students in all areas of life creates lasting relationships and meaningful learning experiences.
