Rocío Mendizábal

Biography:
A native of Spain, Rocío began teaching Spanish in 1988, first at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and then at North Cross School in Roanoke, Va., before coming to Episcopal.

In addition to her teaching, she has worked enthusiastically with both Hispanic and Latinx students and the wider Spanish-speaking community on campus. Rocío continues to serve as a liaison to families by facilitating interactions and through translations.

In the summer of 2017, she took part in a teacher's tour of Cuba with three of her EHS colleagues. Rocío has previously participated in a teacher exchange program with a school in Sevilla, Spain.

Rocío and her husband Tim Rogers ’79 have six children, including Alex ’04, Teo ’12, and Louie ’15.
