He came to Episcopal from the North Carolina Outward Bound School where he worked as a climbing and field instructor and as a teacher in the Summer Scholars Program - a public-private partnership between the NYC Public School System (South Bronx High School) and NCOBS.

For the last twenty years Will has worked as a professional and fine-art photographer from his home in Brooklyn, NY. He is a frequent contributor to The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, Bloomberg Businessweek and other non-fiction magazines. Commercial clients include Apple, Eileen Fisher and the John A. Hartford Foundation.
He has published two photographic monographs - EMPIRE, and Mental Hygiene, as well as numerous self-published zines.

More than one hundred of his photographs are held in public collections including The Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, the Museum of the City of New York, and the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.
During his time in New York Will has been a Visiting Lecturer in photography at Pratt, given artist’s talks at SVA, NYU, Bard College, The New School, Parsons, ICP and the Art Director’s Club of New York. Will is excited to share what he has learned in his practice with a new generation of students. He took his first photography class at EHS in 1988.
