Biography:
Michael joined the EHS Arts Department in 2015, serving as the Arts Assistant until 2023 when he joined the faculty as the Director of Theater and Arts Coordinator. Michael teaches Theater and Page-to-Stage, oversees and directs all of EHS’s mainstage productions, coordinates Episcopal’s Adjunct Teaching Faculty, organizes arts events throughout the year and works closely with the McCain-Ravenel Center and Activities to offer the student body incredible arts outings throughout the year.

Michael is Co-Artistic Director of Monumental Theatre Company, an award-winning professional theater offering contemporary musical theater throughout the DMV. Michael’s direction and design work has been recognized by the Helen Hayes Awards, including four nominations and one win for Monumental’s 2022 production of tick, tick… BOOM!
Michael is passionate about connecting the vibrant DC theater scene to the EHS Community; bringing numerous theater professionals in to work with the student body each year.
He and his partner, Jimmy, live in McAllister with their dog, Dolly. When not there, you’ll find Michael serving on the Anderson Dorm Team or enjoying time outside on the water.
