Biography:
Ben graduated from Kenyon College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in molecular biology and was an All-American member of the 1995, 1996, and 1997 Division III national champion men's swimming team. After a brief stint working at a tech company, he started his boarding-school career as a teacher (science), coach (swimming), advisor, and administrator at the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad, Calif. Returning to the east coast, Ben entered the admissions world at the Blue Ridge School in St. George, Va., where also coached swimming for local public school and summer-league teams. Ben continued his boarding-school journey at Saint James School in Hagerstown, Md., as the director of enrollment management.

At Episcopal, Ben is the senior associate director of admissions, a member of the Harrison Dorm team, and coaches the EHS swimming program. Ben and his wife, Laurie, enjoy biking, hiking, running, and supporting Liverpool FC.
