Chris Hutchins '03, Founder and CEO, Grove

Chris is the Founder and CEO of Grove, a venture capital-backed startup with a mission to make personalized financial advice affordable and accessible to everyone. Previously, he was a Partner at Google Ventures where he led the early stage investing efforts. Prior to that, he co-founded Milk, a mobile app company acquired by Google, and ran business development at SimpleGeo. He is the founder of LaidOffCamp, a movement to help the unemployed learn new skills for the evolving job market. Chris began his career as an investment banker in NYC for Allen & Company, and later served as a management consultant at Monitor Group. He graduated from Colorado State University and currently lives in San Francisco.

Davis White '99, Director of California Public Affairs, Uber Technologies

Davis White graduated from Washington & Lee University in 2003 and began working on the Bush-Cheney 2004 re-election campaign.  Following President Bush's re-election, he served on the Communications Team with the Afghan Reconstruction Group in the US Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.  Following his service overseas, Davis returned to Washington, DC and joined The White House Office of Public Liaison during the 2006 midterm elections.  He held senior political roles with John McCain 2008 and Rob Portman's 2010 US Senate campaign in Ohio. From 2010 to 2016 Davis worked on the policy and corporate communication team at Google, Inc. based in Mountain View, CA. He currently serves as the Director of Public Affairs in California for Uber Technologies, Inc., based at their headquarters in San Francisco.

Jeremy Goldstein, Director of the EHS Washington Program

Jeremy is the director of the EHS Washington Program, teaches a senior elective, coaches girls’ varsity soccer, and serves on the Administrative Duty Team. He has a background in directing global and summer programs; teaching grades 5-12 in the history, religion, science, and modern language departments; and coaching varsity soccer. 

Jeremy lives on Anderson Dorm with his wife, Lucy; their daughter, Jane; and their dog, Callie. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, soccer, reading, and almost anything active!

Matt Fitzgerald, EHS Faculty and Entrepreneurship Cohort Leader

Matt teaches entrepreneurship and mathematics at Episcopal and serves as the Washington Program Entrepreneurship Advisor. Prior to Episcopal, Matt also taught AP Computer Science and was the Director of Information Services and Educational Technology at Salisbury School in CT. During his career Matt has coached rowing, football, ice hockey, and currently serves as Episcopal’s Varsity Golf Coach. He also worked for several years after college in banking and private equity. He has a BA from Dartmouth College and an MA from Columbia University, Teachers College. He lives on campus with his wife Dr. Adrianna Bravo, Episcopal's Medical Director and three daughters EllaMae, Tallulah and Tennyson.
