Sarah Akridge Knutson ’96 P’26

Sarah Akridge Knutson ’96 is the Chief Operating Officer for Akridge, a comprehensive real estate services company that has invested significantly in the Washington Metropolitan area and in the Charlotte and Triangle areas of North Carolina. After Episcopal, Sarah earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University. Sarah is Chair of the EHS Board of Trustees, and she served previously on the Board of Trustees from 2010–2016, including as Vice–Chair and Chair of the Buildings and Grounds Committee. She has served as Chair of the Advisory Council, Chair of the 20th Anniversary of Coeducation in 2011, and sat on the Head of School Search Committee. Sarah and her husband Brian Knutson ’96 are current Episcopal parents.

As former members of the Board of Trustees who served during the 2018 strategic planning process and the launch of the leadership phase of COURAGE, each was a pivotal player in the shaping of the campaign. They are compelling ambassadors and are particularly articulate when speaking about their devotion to the School and the importance of the strategic priorities
Lee Ainslie

Lee Ainslie ’82 P’14 ’17

Hobe Sound, Fla.
Lee Ainslie ’82 is Founder and Managing Partner of Maverick Capital. After Episcopal, Lee earned his B.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina. Lee’s Episcopal roots run deep, beginning as a child when his father, Sandy Ainslie ’56, was a faculty member and later Headmaster. He and his wife Elizabeth have twice been Episcopal parents. Lee has also twice served on the EHS Board of Trustees, first from 2000–2006 and again beginning in 2014, serving as Chair from 2017–2022.
Robert Mason

Robert Mason ’77 P’15

Robert Mason ’77 is Chairman of Robert E. Mason & Associates, a provider of industrial automation and engineering services in the U.S. After Episcopal, Robert earned a B.S. in Business Administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from North Carolina State, and he graduated from the Kenan-Flagler Business School Young Executive Program, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He and his wife Annette are past Episcopal parents. Robert has also served on the EHS Executive Council, the Advisory Council, and on the Board of Trustees from 2015–2021.
Rodney Robinson

Rodney Robinson ’86

Sarasota, Fla.
Rodney Robinson ’86 recently retired from Global Marketing Solutions at Meta, Inc. after a long career in media and marketing, having held leadership positions at USATODAY.com, Yahoo, Google, and Facebook. While a student at Episcopal, he founded Spectrum, the student diversity club. After Episcopal, Rodney attended Brown University, where he studied American civilization. Rodney has served on the EHS Executive Council and twice on the Board of Trustees, first from 1998–2000 and again from 2016–2022. In 2018, Rodney served on the Advisory Committee for EHS50, commemorating 50 years of integration at Episcopal.
Kathryn Tyree

Kathryn Tyree P’17 ’19

New York, N.Y.
Kathryn Tyree is a Partner of Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH), where her career has spanned four decades. Among her leadership positions, she is chair of the BBH Center for Women and Wealth and Center for Family Business. Kathryn graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in economics from Trinity College. Kathryn and her husband Bill have twice been Episcopal parents, and they served on the Parent Roll Call Committee from 2014–2019. Kathryn served on the EHS Board of Trustees from 2014–2020, and she served as Chair of the EHS Investment Committee. Following the end of her Board term, Kathryn has remained an ad hoc member of the Investment Committee.
