More than 200 players, coaches, parents, students, and other spectators filled Goodman Squash Courts for an action-packed day of squash matches at the EHS Invite. For the girls’ tournament, Episcopal hosted the top seven players representing seven other schools from the Mid-Atlantic region including Roland Park, Mercersburg, Potomac, St. Andrew’s, Bryn Mawr, St. Catherine’s, and National Cathedral.

The girls varsity squash team squared off against National Cathedral School (NCS), the newest addition to the Mid-Atlantic Squash Organization for high school squash.
After having beaten the St. Catherine’s team in a close 5-4 match earlier in the week, the EHS players knew that they would be in for a struggle as they stepped onto the squash courts.

On January 13, the girls varsity squash team traveled alongside the boys varsity team to St. Andrew's School in Middletown, Delaware. The girls won an impressive 9-0 victory, leaving them with an overall season record of 4-1.
During what has been the coldest winter spell over the past two weeks in the Washington, DC area since 1989, Baltimore’s Bryn Mawr School visited EHS for the home opener this squash season.
On Friday, the girls’ varsity squash team traveled to Richmond to play St. Catherine’s at the Country Club of Virginia. The match began with the six exhibition matches, which were played best two out of three.
Absent a few members unavailable due to injuries, and others recently returning to practice and competitive squash, the girls varsity squash team traveled to Baltimore on a sunny fall afternoon to play Roland Park. Last season, they were our toughest opponents as EHS prevailed twice albeit rather narrowly.
