Amy Fannon Cupic '94

A three-sport athlete and one of Episcopal’s “First 48” girls, Ms. Cupic is only the third woman to be inducted into Episcopal’s Hall of Fame. She excelled on Episcopal’s field hockey, indoor track, and lacrosse teams.

She captained the varsity field hockey team as a junior and a senior, earning All-ISL honors both years. In her senior year, she led the team to its first ISL championship, regular season and tournament, with a 14-1 record. Ms. Cupic had 10 goals and 15 assists in her final season, and she was named Field Hockey Player of the Month and Field Hockey Athlete of the Year by the Alexandria Sportsman’s Club. She also earned All-Met honors as a senior and won the School Award for Field Hockey as both a junior and a senior.

Ms. Cupic also shone on the girls’ varsity lacrosse team. She co-captained the team as a junior and a senior and led the team to an ISL-A league championship. Ms. Cupic received the School Medal for Athletic Worth at Commencement. In the fall of 2010, she returned to campus to speak to Episcopal’s female athletes before the third annual Seminary Hill Cup event, inspiring the varsity field hockey team to beat cross-town rivals St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School for the first time since 1995.
