Maroon defeats Cardinals

For the third time this season, the boys followed up a tough Friday loss with a win within 24 hours. 
A spirited Bishop Ireton team put up a tough fight in the 1st half as the Maroon led only 4-3 half-way through the first half. Will Cory '19 and Jack Lee '20 combined to score the first six goals of the game, while nine different players scored on offense: Jared Andreala '20 had one goal and three assists and Finlay MacKnight '20 had three goals and one assist. Chad Calderwood '20 and John McKee '20 won 20/24 face-offs. Jack Kelly '19 and Tyler Bryan '19 played strong defense with Bryan also scoring his first goal of the season. Ben Lee '20 did a nice job on defense and in the clearing game as the Maroon converted all 17 clearing opportunities. The difference in the game was a 6-0 third quarter run as all six goals were scored in an eight-minute timeframe.
