EHS girls' soccer traveled to Paul VI (PVI) this past Thursday, falling to a very strong and well-disciplined Panthers team, 5-0.
EHS Saves: Moss '19 (3)
At the half EHS trailed just 1-0, but PVI came out in the second half determined to control possession of the ball. In the first 15 minutes they scored four goals, all on shots that would have defied any goal-keeper. Facing this powerful attack, EHS redoubled its efforts.
The Maroon kept battling, earning great praise from the PVI coach for the character and fortitude the EHS side displayed. That effort was nearly rewarded twice as shots by Alli Boehm and Ruby Gregg hit the crossbar in the last 20 minutes of the game.
Special recognition goes to EHS goal-keeper Lindy Moss who knew when to attack the ball in the box and when to hold her line, quarterbacking the team as 30 shots were attempted on goal.
