Girls Varsity Tennis Falls to Sidwell
The girls tennis team has had their share of close matches recently. On Tuesday, Sidwell Friends played us at home, and they came away with a 5-2 win. The singles matches were split 2-2, with Lilly Schmachtenberger ‘19 playing a solid match at #2 for a 10-4 win, while Lilly Whitner ‘19 took a bit longer, but finished with the same 10-4 score at #4.. Doubles presented a problem for us, as the depth of Sidwell’s team came through with three wins, although we hung tough in a couple of those matches. Our comeback efforts fell a bit short, but the girls fought hard. On to the upcoming match against Visitation today, where we look to get back on track! Good job High School, lets get a win at Visi today!
