Cross Country Teams Endure Rain on Family Weekend

With the weather and mud causing significant course issues, the boys and girls of Episcopal XC managed to complete the day without losing a shoe or timing chip.
The mud impacted all runners, and the mud-stained race jerseys, legs, and shorts were testament to how often our runners fell on the course. The steep course and slippery conditions (and deep creek crossing) didn't dampen spirits, though, as the team raced with heart and still managed to smile at the end of their races.

Tre Simmons '20 was the top finisher for Episcopal on the day, taking 10th in the IAC Varsity A Championship Race. Despite wiping out in the first mile, Tre managed to medal for All-Conference honors. Regan Simmons '21 was the top female finisher on the day in the ISL Varsity A Championship Race.
