Cross Country Teams Show Stamina Amidst Rain, Mud
The boys and girls cross country program traveled to the Landon Invitational on Saturday.
The day was definitely muddy and hilly, much like what you'd expect for an English-style cross country race. Though the elements were tough, the performances definitely seemed to shine through the mud.
Regan Simmons '21 and Charlotte Breckenridge '20 raced well and finished as the top two girls for Episcopal's squad. The team finished 11th overall with 286 points. Gabin Lee '19 had an impressive showing in her first invitational race, finishing 3rd for Episcopal's Varsity A squad.
Tre Simmons '20 took 3rd overall in a season best time to help the varsity A squad earn 6th out of 14 teams. Chineme Agulanna '20 squeaked out a 1-second PR and Chris Denning '19 finished right behind to close out the scoring for the top five (159 points).
In the varsity B race, the boys took 10th overall with 273 points. Setting personal bests were James Dixon '19, Aaron Lindsey '21, Collin Fitzpatrick '19, and Parker Driscoll '19.
