The Maroon traveled to take on Georgetown Visitation on Tuesday afternoon.
The first half was primarily a defensive test for EHS, but they held the Cubs without a goal through the midway point. Episcopal had a few chances to take a lead in the first half but couldn’t get on the board.
With the score tied at 0-0 coming out of halftime, the Maroon were anxious to raise their level of play and strike first. Instead, the Cubs scored two goals about a minute apart in the opening ten minutes of the half. Episcopal tried to answer back but were unsuccessful capitalizing in the circle. The hosts added one more goal off of a corner to take a commanding lead. The Maroon fought hard throughout the contest but were not able to find the back of the net. Halsey Ziglar '19 finished the game with 12 saves.
