Varsity Field Hockey Moves to 5-0 in ISL Play

EHS beat NCS by a score of 2-0 and improved to 5-0 in ISL play.
The Maroon visited National Cathedral School on Thursday afternoon. The game started out evenly-matched, with both teams executing well and playing strong defense. EHS passed the ball quickly and effectively, sustaining pressure on the offensive end and challenging each Eagles possession. Mary Ives Giblin ‘19 got the Maroon on the board with ten minutes to go in the first half.

After halftime, EHS made some adjustments and continued to press on the Eagles defense. Caroline Ullrich ‘20 added to the lead off an assist by Eleanor Winants ‘18. The Maroon played their best overall game of the season, with good communication and effective ball movement. Halsey Ziglar ‘19 finished the day with eight saves against a strong offensive opponent.
