Varsity Field Hockey Beats Flint Hill

Episcopal hosted league opponent Flint Hill School. The first half of the game proved a challenge, but The Maroon came out on top in the end, keeping the Huskies from scoring.
EHS had many offensive opportunities in the first part of the game, but couldn’t get past the Huskies. The play was even through the midfield, with both defenses preventing any scoring.

The Maroon came out of halftime determined to find the back of the net. Just under five minutes into the second half, they did just that when Eleanor Winants '18 scored her first goal of the game. The Maroon kept the pressure on and a few minutes later, Isabelle Davidson '18 had a shot denied that Aly Cowin '18 finished to add to the lead. From there, the visiting Huskies fought back and had many scoring chances but couldn’t break through. Winants finished off the scoring for the day with about 10 minutes left in the game.

Halsey Ziglar '19 ended the contest with six saves and the defensive corner crew held Flint Hill without a goal.
