EHS headed to Bullis for their ISL upper division opening game against Bullis under the lights on a cold, windy evening. This game was an absolute battle from the start. EHS was the first to get on the board, but Bullis would quickly answer back. EHS never trailed, but their biggest lead of the half was 4-1 with 11:53 left to play. Bullis would score two back-to-back goals to get within one, but EHS had one final tally to take a 5-3 lead into the halftime break. The opening ten minutes of the half was a scoreless defensive battle until Bullis broke through the EHS defense to bring the game within one at 5-4 with 15:11 left in the game. Episcopal would then assert it’s presence in the midfield – both in draw controls and in caused turnovers – to manage the game clock and slowly chip away to extend the lead to 8-4. Bullis refused to give in as they called a time out with 7:52 left to play and came out to score two goals in less than two minutes to bring the game within two. They would not get any closer, however, as Episcopal was able to hold on for the win.
