Girls Varsity Lacrosse Beats Friends in Hummel Bowl
The team faced off against Sidwell Friends in the Hummel Bowl. This was an important game for the Maroon as they had defeated Sidwell last year in the ISL-A championship game and they knew that the Quakers would be ready to avenge that loss. The girls came out strong as they were the first get to get on the board less than three minutes into play. Sidwell would quickly answer back with a goal of their own less than 20 seconds later to tie the game at 1-1. The staggering EHS defensive game would then go to work, however, as they held the Quakers scoreless for the next twenty minutes while tallying 11 goals of their own. EHS entered the halftime break with a comfortable 12-2 lead and was able to hold the lead through the second half to win by a final score of 16-6. All healthy players on the roster had significant minutes in this game.
