The team got off to a slow start against a scrappy Archbishop Curley team as the Maroon feel behind 5-3 early in the second quarter. The boys responded well however as they would go on to score 10 of the next 12 goals to comfortably win the game. Michael Grogan '19 and Thorn Wilbanks '17 were outstanding on the defensive side of the field and in the clearing game. They also chipped in with a combined two goals and two assists. The offense was paced by Ricky Miezan '18 offering up three goals and Stuart Greenspon '17 giving one goal and three assists, with Connor Kocis '18 and William Wiltshire '17 scoring key goals as the Maroon took the lead after trailing early. Jack Kelly '19 and John McKee '20 each picked up a team leading five ground balls.
Congratulations to Greenspon for recording his 100th career point in the victory! The win improves the team's record to 6-3 heading into a big week with road games against Woodberry Forest on Tuesday and Georgetown Prep on Thursday.
