The Maroon faced a tough test against no. 7 nationally ranked Bullis. The game did not start well, as the visiting team raced to a 5-0 lead early in the second quarter. Brandon Williams '17 and Finlay MacKnight '20 each scored in the second quarter as EHS went into the half trailing 6-2. The boys played an outstanding third quarter outscoring Bullis 4-1 (goals by Matt Berendsen '18, Stuart Greenspon '17 and two by Williams) and closing the deficit to 7-6 after three quarters of play. Unfortunately, Bullis added two late goals to close out the game. The Episcopal defense played well and were led by goalies Hampton Brannon '17 and Miles Thompson '18. Michael Grogan '19 did an outstanding job covering one of the top attackmen in the country and Williams led the scoring with three goals. Duncan Trau '17 and Jack Kelly '19 also performed well on the defensive end of the field. Despite the loss, the boys proved they can compete with one of the strongest programs in the country.
