Varsity Climbing Team Boulders For The Win
The EHS Varsity and JV boys' and girls' climbing team started off our season with a sweep of Bullis last Tuesday at Earth Treks in Columbia, MD.
This meet was a bouldering competition, meaning teammates climbed low, technical routes. The more difficult the route, the more points the climber is awarded and each individual scores his or her three best climbs. Of the six pre-named varsity climbers in each the boys and girls divisions, the top five scores are summed for the varsity team score and the next best five scores are the JV score.
Episcopal came into the meet with a solid group of returning climbers and some eager new athletes ready to make their mark. The team as a whole did splendidly, with many climbers earning personal records and wins in all four categories.
