Maroon Fall to SSSAS in Seminary Hill Cup Race
The girls ran strong against the talented SSSAS squad in the Seminary Hill Cup race.
Nearly every girl ran a personal best or season best time, though the SSSAS XC team took the team win 21 to 36.
The run of the day came from Liza Gregory '21 who came back from an injury in the middle of the City Championships to set a personal best time of 22:07 and secure the individual win. Finishing close behind was Regan Simmons '21 in 23:12 for a new personal best time.
Finishing 10th through 16th, Episcopal girls ran well and in a tight pack with less than a two-minute spread. Team captain Esther Kim '19 ran 24:14 for a season best time, followed close behind by Gabin Lee '19, Karen Zhang '20, Jahsaiah Moses '19, Cindy Xin '20, Natalie Block '19, and Olivia Tucker '19.
The next group of finishers were Mei Kuo '19 with a season best time, Jane Owen '19 with a season best time, Isabelle Bechtel '20 with a personal best time, and Faith Chukwudinma '22 finishing her first ever race.
