Maroon Defeats Saint John Paul The Great
On Thursday, the girls JV field hockey team traveled to Saint John Paul the Great for an early game on a grass field.
The team quickly lifted their push passes and flicks. Some polished up air dribbling though later were not allowed to use it but tucked away this higher level skill for future games.
Transitions were harder than usual games but the team worked together and adjusted their spacing to help teammates execute passes.
Down the side of the field captain, Gigi Friedman '21 carried the ball to assist a beautifully executed goal from Lucy Hankins '22. This would be the only goal of the game but the mids and defense held off any threat by John Paul.
