Episcopal XC Hosts Joe Halm Memorial City Championships
On Wednesday the boys and girls of EHS XC competed in the Joe Halm Memorial Alexandria City Cross Country Championships.
The Episcopal team was tired from two hard days of work, but that didn't stop several athletes from setting personal bests in their respective races. The race performances of the day came from Amir Ludena '22 and Gabin Lee '19 who both beat their previous personal best by nearly two minutes. Lee finished as the Episcopal's top JV girl runner on the day in 9th place.
Tre Simmons '19 finished as repeat city champion in a season best time of 17:41. He led from the outset and never relinquished the lead.
Other highlights on the day were Chris Denning '19 who set a new personal best of 20:00 in the varsity race and Karen Zhang '20 who ran a season best of 25:13.
