Boys Varsity LAX Defeats St. Christopher's in Overtime
The boys' varsity lacrosse team struggled throughout much of the game as they found themselves trailing 10-6 at the start of the 4th quarter. The St. Christopher's Saints dominated possession through the first three quarters as they held a 30-12 ground ball advantage and a 15-5 face-off edge. The Maroon came to life in the fourth quarter after St. Chris extended their lead to 11-6 with just over nine minutes left. John Mckee '20 won nine of 10 fourth-quarter face-offs and Will Cory '19 and Ricky Miezan '18 combined for all seven Episcopal goals in the final quarter. Finlay MacKnight '20 assisted on the last three goals of the game including the game winner in overtime to Miezan. It was a great come from behind effort and an important state win against a strong St. Christopher's team.
The win improves the boys record to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in VISAA play.
