Boys Junior Basketball Falls to Potomac

The boys junior basketball team tipped off against Potomac, starting off with a difficult first quarter, but improving throughout the game. Despite their loss, the boys finished strong.
The team had a scoreless first quarter, and were behind by 14 points going into the second. Potomac came out strong, and Maroon looked a bit out of sorts.
 
The second quarter was a different story. Maroon came out and produced stronger play. The second quarter score, without including the first, was 11-5 Potomac. Andrew Caslow '21 made a nice jump short for two, and Jason Gibson '21 made a great drive to the hole, was fouled, and made his free throw.
 
The team suffered 14 turnovers in the first half. They continued to close the gap in the third quarter, and lost the quarter by a score of 8-6, closing the quarterly performance gap to two points. Kartik Singh '21 offered great energy and a big block to get the team moving in the right direction. Jason Gibson started with a nice drive, was fouled, made the shot, and made his free throw.

Stern Cohen '21 made a great three, was fouled and made his free throw. He followed a few plays later with another great drive, made the shot, was fouled, and made his free throw.
 
The fourth quarter began with missed offensive opportunities. Cohen scored on another great drive, was fouled, and made his free throw. Jack Hines '21 had an aggressive drive for two. Cohen followed with a three, and Jackson Bauer '21 finished the game with a nice layup for two. EHS made progress and outscored their opponent by one point in the fourth quarter.
