The Maroon faced a tough and skilled Sidwell side in a home contest that included an exceptional comeback effort that unfortunately fell short at the final whistle. In the 31st minute, midfielder Neely Holt '20 beat two defenders to serve a ball from deep in the Sidwell defensive third that connected with Lindsey Harrison '19 on a well timed run to the back post for the first EHS goal of the contest. The second tally for the home squad came shortly after the first when Logan Tyler '19 won a 50/50 challenge in the midfield and headed a ball to striker Kyara McDowell '19 who beat the Sidwell goalkeeper with an expertly placed chip in to the net. At the half, the score held at 3-2.

?The second half held several opportunities as EHS poured on the pressure? and kept the ball in their opponent's defensive third for the majority of the 40 remaining minutes. Unfortunately, a short defensive lapse resulted in one more goal for the visitors, and the match ended with a score of 4-2.
