Varsity Baseball Beats Team in Orange

The team traveled to Woodberry Forest looking to win for the second year in a row over the Tigers. The game started well for EHS with center-fielder Henry Sergenian '17 smashing a double to right center field to open the top half of the first. Catcher John Moses '19 drove him in with a single and then EHS went on to score three runs in the inning. Pitcher Sen Kenneally '17 was strong over four innings for the Maroon, allowing only two hits while striking out five and working out of several situations with runners on base. He was helped by strong defense from second baseman Jacob Morgan '19, shortshop Will Sergenian '18, and outfielder Henry Hohlstein '17. Whit Goode '17 came on to relieve Kenneally in the fifth inning and threw three innings to get the save, getting a game ending and game saving catch from Duncan Agnew '17 with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs. Offensively, Kenneally, Sergenian, and Moses each had two hits to lead the Maroon offense.
