Girls JV Lacrosse Wins First Game of Season
In their first game against Trinity Episcopal, the attack had several fast break opportunities, but they also settled the ball when necessary, looking for open cutters and takes from the top. Missy Brandt '20, Margot Yardley ’18, and Olivia Armfield ’20 each had two goals, while Stella Brannon '18 and Ansley Haulbrook '18 also contributed a goal each, taking the EHS tally to 8 total. Defensively, Lindsey Harrison '19 and Brandt caused a couple of key turnovers, and Rett Dotterer '18 scooped up several ground balls. In the cage, Olivia Morton '19 had 10 saves, and even when Trinity Episcopal cut well in the middle, Morton shut them down. Though the game was tight, everyone earned good minutes, and EHS finished the day with an 8-5 victory.
