Boys JV Basketball Clears Woodberry Forest

Following the Friday night game against SSSAS, the JV boys turned around on Saturday and headed down to Woodberry to take on the Tigers. With both teams playing aggressive man defense, the game was a slow grind from the opening tip to the final buzzer. The score at the end of the first quarter was 3-3. The Maroon managed to get some easy buckets and free throws in the second quarter to pull away, but their 14-4 halftime lead still felt a little fragile. In the second half, the Maroon stuck to the fundamentals and kept the Tigers from creeping back into the game. It was not a pretty win, but the Maroon went 19/29 from the free throw line and played excellent defense to come away with a 35-22 victory over WFS.
