A long bus ride into Maryland and another late night looming, the Maroon and Black were looking to dispatch the host team in sweeping fashion. Bullis is a relatively new program, only about 5 years old at this point, but they have some excellent and tall volleyball players. EHS needed to quickly figure out how to hit around the incredible wall of a block Bullis put in front of them. Nearly every EHS hitter fell victim to the Bullin block, but eventually, they put together a strong strategy to get the Bulldogs out of system and out of the match. In a hot, cramped gym, the Maroon and Black pieced together their offense and defense, running their 5-1 offense with players still plagued by injury. With a crowd of cheering local families (thanks, parents!), the team was able to bring out the brooms and sweep the Bulldogs off the court in three sets.
