JV Volleyball Wins Season Opener Against NCS

The Maroon had an incredibly strong start in game 1 against NCS, as Louisa Hunt '24 served seven straight aces and one more good ball before the team lost the serve. Stepping into a new position to fill in for illness, Sadie Presson '24 served her first game balls, including two aces and a third good serve. Along with Presson, Avi Qin '25 pivoted to the left back position for the entirety of the match. Mia McDonald '23 began the attacking side for EHS with the team's first kill. Then, the game wrapped up rather quickly with three good serves from both Ava Qin '25 and McDonald. EHS won game 1 in a convincing 25-9.

During the second game, Presson delivered more solid serves and Bella Johnson '24 was everywhere on defense to ensure the team kept the ball in play. In a setter-setter play that one dreams of, Qin set Hunt for a kill. Quickly after, Qin dug a ball that Hunt put up for an assist to Campbell Allen '24 who earned a kill. Cindy Luo '25 subbed in for her first court appearance of the season. Hunt wrapped up the game with another five serves. This game concluded 25-12.
