Eight Seniors Announce College Athletic Commitments
Eight members of the Class of 2019 have committed to a college athletics program so far this school year.
The signings began when Xavier Johnson announced in November his commitment to play basketball at George Mason University, a member of the Atlatntic 10 conference,
Five more seniors announced commitments on December 12, four of whom -- Michael Grogan (Duke), Coleman Marlatt (VMI), Olivia Sokol (Yale), and Thomas Williamson (VMI) -- will play lacrosse at the next level. The fifth, Archer Staunton, will row for Columbia University.
On December 19, two standout players on the Maroon football team formally signed letters of intent. Litchfield Ajavon will play next year for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, and Salim Turner-Muhammed will travel across the continent to Palo Alto to attend Stanford.
More announcements regarding seniors continuing their athletic careers in college are expected in the coming months!
