Episcopal Sends Runners to Compete in Regional DCXC

A select group of EHS XC runners traveled to Kenilworth Park in Washington, D.C., for the DCXC Invitational.
The top elite runners from every class were running 30 - 60 seconds slower than their PRs, so the muddy course was definitely taking a toll on all athletes.

The DCXC races are completed by class, with freshmen running first and seniors running last. With nearly 3000 runners competing, the course was extremely soft and the later races suffered from the conditions.

All EHS XC runners ran strong and pushed through the conditions. Some of the key performances came from Justin Yi '21 and Aaron Lindsey '21 who both set PRs by more than 90 seconds. Cindy Xin '20 and Addie McElveen '21 both set personal bests and move firmly onto the varsity roster.
