JV Field Hockey Defeats Madeira

The girls JV field hockey team stepped onto the field with the welcomed sun as the girls had an adequate warm-up adjusting to a thicker turf. They were mentally and physically prepared for play.
Lucy Hankins '22 had a great shot on goal but Madeira's goalie had an equally impressive save. Annie Thomas '22 had an amazing save to keep the score 0-0 for the first half. After halftime, the team was ready but so was Madeira on their home field.
 
Well into the second half, a goal was carefully executed by a combination of Catherine Mackinnon '21 coming into the top of the circle and assisting Elle Dorrian '22. Landon O'Malley '22 had two solid saves in the second half to keep Episcopal in the lead.
 
The opponent called a timeout was called with 2:45 left on the clock due to the Maroon's incredible defensive play in front of the circle by Olivia Taiwo '22, Olivia Moore '22 and Sophie Novitsky '21.
