Softball Strikes Out Against Georgetown Vis

The girls varsity softball team faced a 5-15 loss against Georgetown Visitation on Tuesday. Tiffany Stowers ’20 was on the mound and struck out eight batters before she injured her ankle between innings. Flora French ’21 stepped in for the last inning of the game, allowing three hits and one walk. Co-captains Judy Liu ’18 and Lilly Wilcox ’18 each had two great catches in the outfield that prevented runners from scoring. Allison Duenas ’20 and Stowers each had three put-outs in the game, Madi Register ’18 and Halsey Ziglar ’19 each had one. Register led the offense with three hits in the game, and Wilcox put together two hits. Nicole Carino ’19, Barrett Carney ’19, French, Liu, Stowers, and Ziglar each contributed one hit. Register had three RBIs in the game, and French had one. Two of our five runs were scored by Wilcox. The rest were scored by Carino, Stowers, and Natasha Wanjiru ’20.
