JV Tennis Beats Flint Hill
Co-Captain Alex Keller '19 lead introductions and line-ups as the match included four singles lines, one exhibition singles, and three doubles lines. The singles lines included Kang '19 in Singles 1, Thomas Dudley ’21 in Singles 2, Charles Starks ’21 in Singles 3, Edward Powers '21 in Singles 4, and Alex Stettinius ’21 in exhibition singles. The doubles lines included Luke Cowan '20 paired with Whit Nuckolls ’21 in Doubles 1, Keller paired with Killian Vetter ’20 in Doubles 2, and Captain Ben Korkowski ’19 paired with Co-Captain Jerry Chen ’19 in Doubles 3.
EHS won the match with Kang and Dudley winning Singles 1 and 2 respectively, easily finishing their matches quickly with solid ground strokes throughout the match. Cowan & Nuckolls won Doubles 2, covering the court as a righty-lefty pair to overwhelm their opponents. Korkowski and Chen were the victors in Doubles 3, winning the pivotal match for the team victory, with Korkowski hitting a deep volley for the finish.
