The girls varsity softball team faced a tough loss on April 5 against St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School.
Tiffany Stowers '20 was on the mound for the entire game, with zero walks and 10 strikeouts in six innings. SSSAS was able to put together seven hits and score 11 runs to end the game in the sixth inning. EHS outhit SSSAS with a total of eight hits for the game, put together by Nicole Carino '19, Barrett Carney '19, Madi Register '18, Tiffany Stowers '20, Lilly Wilcox '18, Halsey Ziglar ’19 and two hits by Judy Liu '18. Kayla Murphy ’18 got on base twice by drawing a walk in both at-bats. The girls did a good job of getting runners on the bases throughout the game, but unfortunately struggled to score those runners.
We had several defensive errors in the game that cost us five unearned runs in the first five innings, and four in the sixth. The final score ended as 0-11 in the sixth inning.
