Girls Varsity Soccer Shuts Down Madeira 5-0

In the second match of the week, EHS met ISL A-side Madeira on the Hoxton pitch for a senior night contest that included a five goal performance and a last minute flurry of shots by the visitors who showed great resilience with a tireless effort.
Neely Holt '20 opened up the contest with a lobbed volley into the net from close range. As EHS sharpened their passing, more goals followed, highlighted by the 2-goal match for senior forward Mary Peeples, and a first EHS soccer goal for midfielder Ruby Gregg '21. The efforts of the EHS back line were notable in working well with goalkeepers Lindy Moss '19 and Dymin Gerow '20. At the final whistle, the home side held a 5 goal lead for a well-crafted senior night win. The post game ceremony celebrated the dedication and work of Isabelle Holt '18, Mary Peeples '18, Sophie Singletary '18, and Lilly Wilcox '18.
