Varsity Climbing Championship Results
Eleven schools competed in the Washington Area Interscholastic Climbing League’s championship meet at Earth Treks in Crystal City.
This varsity-only event scored using the best two top-rope routes and best two bouldering problems. The girls varsity finished the meet in third place (192 points) out of the nine schools in attendance, falling to champions Georgetown Day and runners up National Cathedral School. The boys varsity finished seventh (191 points) out of 10 teams with some strong scores from our young team.
Individually, our climbers worked hard to overcome a brand new gym. They scored very strong on the bouldering walls and were consistent and tough on the roped section of the competition. The individual results are listed below in order of score:
