After Sweep vs Holy Child, Varsity Tennis is 5-2
The Girls Varsity tennis team got back out on the road to face Holy Child on a beautiful afternoon.
Although not fully in gear from the start, the team got off to early leads in all of the contests, and would charge forward to clear victories. Lily Dolan '20 at #3 and Lilly Schmachtenberger '19 at #2 would be the first ones completing their matches, while the other Maroon ladies were close behind. Our final two doubles matches, which got on as the courts opened up, went well with Maddie Blalock ’19 and Olivia Armfield ’20 winning 10-3 at #3 to complete the sweep. No one relinquished more than three games in what was a convincing team victory.
