The boys' varsity lacrosse team played a strong game against a very good SSSAS team (who beat the #2 ranked team in the country earlier in the season). Unfortunately, the boys fell short in the end as the Saints prevailed 8-7 in OT.
The game was close the entire way as neither team had more than a two-goal lead. Ricky Miezan '18 was the offensive catalyst for the Maroon as he tallied six of the seven EHS goals. Will Cory '19 added a goal and two assists.
The defense was outstanding throughout the game as Miles Thompson '18, Christian Storch '20, Coleman Marlatt '19, Jack Niven '18, B. Lee '20, J Lee '20, Jack Kelly '19 and Tyler Bryan '19 played well in the zone defensive scheme.
The loss drops the boys' record to 6-3 overall and 4-3 in VISAA play.
Woodberry Forest visits the Maroon on Tuesday in the Hummel at 4:30 for another important VISAA contest.
