Solid play Gives JV Volleyball Victory Over Wolves
Final Score: 2-0 in front of Parents Weekend crowd.
In what was by far our most difficult game yet, the Maroon played the Wolves in front of packed stands for Parents Weekend. The game involved the longest rallies of the season and some incredible digs and hits.
Sidney Lewis '19 played an incredibly strong game and passed the lowest balls she ever has! She also racked up a clean hitting record that consisted of nine hits, four of which were kills. Juliet Faris '19 was also on fire both defensively and offensively, plus she had three blocks. Both these players have Catie Wood '19 and Tallie Steiner '20 to thank for their beautiful assists, plus all-around play on the court.
Steiner tallied five attacks of her own. And really everyone owes Savanna Zumbado '19 a thank you for her solid defensive play in both games. One nice surprise of the night was a five-point serving streak from Tiffany Stowers '20. The Maroon put together an exciting game and one we hope to build off of headed into a week of play against Flint Hill and into the JV Volleyballtournament at Georgetown Day School.
