All boarding, grades 9-12 in Alexandria, Virginia
About Us

Episcopal offers the best of both professional worlds, a tight-knit and inclusive community where over 90% of faculty and 100% of students live together 24/7 on campus, nestled in historic Alexandria, Virginia, and less than eight miles from the heart of the nation's capital of Washington, D.C.

At Episcopal High School class sizes are small, typically 10 to 12 students, allowing teachers to actively involve students in discussions, draw out their thoughts, and focus on special areas of interest or need. EHS faculty members usually teach four sections, or a total of 40 to 50 students at any given time. They have time to get to know each student's special gifts and needs and provide extra support or opportunities as warranted. Faculty members interact with students in a number of different roles. They are not only teachers, but are also coaches, advisors, and members of a dorm team. All provide mentoring relationships and support for students.

Episcopal's dedication to valuing different perspectives and backgrounds is central to its mission to foster moral and intellectual courage. As such, the school actively seeks candidates who can bring unique perspectives that support this mission.

Episcopal High School is committed to providing a highly-competitive employee benefits package for faculty and staff. In addition to excellent salaries, benefits, and professional development opportunities, EHS offers a number of programs, amenities, and conveniences for employees, including a comprehensive health and wellness program.

As positions at Episcopal become available, they will be listed below. However, if you like what you see in Episcopal's mission to "prepares young people with the intellectual and moral courage to pursue lives of ethical leadership and service as citizens of an increasingly connected world," then send us your resume regardless of whether there is an opening that matches your background and expertise.
