Before You Come Back

Submit Your Health Forms
  • Although the July 1 deadline has passed, all medical forms should be completed as soon as possible and must be submitted before a student can be cleared to be on campus.
  • Students will not be permitted to remain on campus if medical forms have not been completed by the time of arrival, this includes Early Return Athletes and Student Leaders.
  • Please log into the Parent Portal to review and update forms. A full physical exam and immunization record must be completed by the student's primary care physician. Questions can be directed to the Health & Wellness Center.
Technology Requirements
  • Make sure to watch this video from Episcopal's IT Department. From computer requirements to using EHS Gmail, and from understanding Canvas, our learning management system, to accessing the Student Portal, the video succinctly explains important information you need to know before arriving on campus! Questions? Reach out the IT department.
Dorm Room Set-Up

Here are some friendly reminders of FAQs for families as you plan the decorations and setup for your rooms in September:

  • You may bring curtains and artwork. You should not bring tapestries, flags or wallpaper.
  • Video monitors must have screen diagonals of 32” or less.
  • As no metal fasteners may be driven into walls, ceilings, doors, or desks, be sure you can add decorations, headboards, storage, TVs, etc. without mounting anything using screws and bolts.
  • Juniors and seniors may bring one refrigerator per room with a height off 36 inches or less.
  • We suggest all students bring a personal flashlight and alarm clock.
  • Only Episcopal students, their families and Dorm Room Movers may be used to move students into their campus rooms.

More information will be shared in the Residential Life section of the Student Handbook shortly. For new families, additional packing list suggestions and reminders are available on the Information for New Students page.

Summer Reading

The English, Social Studies, MRC, and College Counseling Departments have compiled an interesting array of summer assignments for all students. To access them:

  • Log onto the Parent Portal or Student Portal;
  • Select the “Resources” tab;
  • Click on the “2025 Summer Reading Assignments” tile;
  • Download your student’s assigned summer reading materials.

Our All-School Summer Read

This summer the EHS community will read, A Dream Worth Fighting For, a biography by alumnus Tim Hightower '04.

Mr. Hightower is a proud family man, a former NFL football player, and current executive with the Washington Commanders.  His biography is a thoughtful, insightful, and measured reflection about his lived experiences.  Many of the questions he wrestles with (prioritization of sometimes conflicting goals, identity, working in a wide range of environments etc.) are questions raised by many students and faculty in the EHS community.  This is an accessible and inspirational read.

Mr. Hightower will be providing the keynote talk on our first MRC Day of the fall, Monday September 15. Other accomplished EHS graduates will join us on that Monday as we think about our prioritized 2025-26 Portrait of a Graduate Quality — Commits to Ambitious Goals.

17th Annual Seminary Hill Cup - October 4

Founded in 2008, the Seminary Hill Cup (SHC) is an annual match-up between rivals EHS and St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (SSSAS) girls’ athletics, with athletes on the varsity and junior varsity teams competing to claim the cup. Come enjoy this spirited weekend of contests and cheer on The Maroon!

Fall Family Weekend - October 24-25

Family Weekends are designed to give EHS parents and guardians chances to see their students compete and perform, meet with faculty members, hear from Grade Deans and outside speakers, and connect with fellow EHS families. Each fall we host Friday Night Lights with a spirited varsity girls’ and boys’ game played in Hummel Bowl.

Spirit Weekend - November 7-8
